My name is Westin Chen, and I am a sophomore playing varsity baseball at Walton High School. For all my life, baseball has been my true passion, and I look forward to being on the field everyday. My goal is to become the best version of myself each day, and play the highest level of baseball I am capable of. Having a smaller frame pushed me to work twice as hard to accomplish what I have done, and will continue to progress. I want to prove that a small guy like me is capable of competing with the best players at each level of baseball. I like to stick to routines, and make sure each swing, throw, or pitch has a purpose. Every day I devote myself to becoming bigger and stronger, to progress slowly to reach my goals. I also understand that as well as athletics, being a student comes first. I want to make sure that if baseball does not work out for me, I have a good education to provide for my community.
I am confident in myself and believe I can go up against anybody in the world. I strive to be the best of the best wherever I go.
