My name is Sophie Coffin. I am a Libero/DS  for the class of 2024.  I attend Cheney High School, where I play varsity libero for my HS team.  I play club volleyball with Renovators VBC in Spokane, WA.

I currently have an unweighted GPA of  4.0, and am taking several Honors/AP classes.  I am a member of my high school’s FCCLA club and was awarded as a Scholar-Athlete my freshman and sophomore year.  I am also currently working as an official for Cheney Middle School volleyball.

While I grew up doing competitive gymnastics and was a national-champion all-star cheerleader, volleyball has become my biggest passion!  I love to compete, and be the best teammate that I can be.  I love being the Libero because I enjoy playing defense and taking control of the back row!  I spend a lot of time in off season to strengthen my serve-receive and defensive skills.  This is my sixth year of club volleyball, and I have also played several seasons of sand volleyball.  I love volleyball so much, and connecting with my teammates in a way that makes us all the best that we can be, on and off the court!

When I’m not playing volleyball, I love listening to music and playing guitar and piano.  I have been involved in my church youth group and love attending different camps.  I also love writing, drawing and spending time with my animals.  I have an older brother who is currently playing college football, and I also have a twin brother who plays football and basketball.  We live with our parents on 20 acres in Cheney, WA and I enjoy the freedom and privacy of living on land.  I love having somewhere to run for exercise and play outdoors with my two golden doodles, Max and Moose!

I am excited to find the right college program where I can continue to grow and be a valuable student-athlete!
