Student Athlete Overview
About Me
My name is Laura Eichert. I am a 4.0 student graduating in 2026. I have received many academic awards including “4.0 Gold Scholar,” “Outstanding Student,” “Leadership,” “Workmanship,” and “Student of the Month.” I have spent a lot of my life playing many different sports such as gymnastics, soccer, basketball, track, tennis, and swimming, but volleyball is my absolute favorite! I love to compete. And I love playing with my sister. The harder the match, the better I play, and the more fun I have. I was a 6-rotation starter as a freshman on the Lake Stevens HS Varsity Team, which is ranked 4th in the state. Also as a freshman, I was named to the “All Tournament Team” at the SoCal Invitational. I was the MVP of the U15 division Emerald City Classic, when I was a U14 age player. Summer is my favorite time of the year. I enjoy lots of swimming, paddle-boarding, kayaking, hiking, and beach volleyball. I am determined to reach my goal of playing volleyball at a high level in college. I would like to study business or architecture.
Player Evaluation
I am so thrilled to be helping Laura through this recruiting process. Not only is she an outstanding volleyball player, she’s also a great kid with a very supportive family.
Laura is an incredible outside hitter. She is 5’11 with a 9’11 jump touch. She has a very powerful arm swing with a lot of velocity behind the ball. She hits all of her shots well, both down the line and angle. She is able to get her feet to the ball on any out of system sets, she passes serve receive well and transitions to hit. Her platform is away from her body and controlled and quiet while passing. As a defender, she plays middle back and covers a lot of ground and makes good controlled defensive moves to the ball. As a blocker she is forehead over the net, penetrates well, and does not float out. She is very sound in all positions.
Laura is probably one of the most talented freshman volleyball athletes I’ve seen in all of my years coaching and recruiting. She already plays like a college athlete and I believe her ceiling is very high still.
Laura also plays beach and is interested in possibilities of doing both indoor and outdoor.
She also has a 4.0 GPA and wants to go into design or architecture in college.
I believe Laura will be an early commit. I am excited to help her navigate what I believe will be a very busy and slightly overwhelming and exciting journey to help her find her right fit. She will be a great asset to so many teams. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
