About Me

My name is Hunter Williams and I attend Lakeview Academy in Gainesville, Georgia. I am a physical and versatile two-way player who contributes at first base and on the mound. Standing 6’7” and 240 pounds, I bring a strong presence, power potential, and athleticism to the field. I play with confidence, toughness, and a strong understanding of situational baseball.
At first base, I am a reliable and steady defender with soft hands, strong footwork around the bag, and good instincts on throws, cutoffs, and rundowns. Offensively, I am a left-handed power hitter who focuses on quality at-bats, driving the ball with authority, and producing runs in key situations.
As a right-handed pitcher, I attack hitters with poise and intent. I work efficiently in the strike zone and keeps hitters off balance using a two-seam and four-seam fastball, changeup, and slider. Coaches value my competitiveness, composure, and willingness to take the ball in big moments.
Off the field, I am a coachable, disciplined student-athlete who values preparation, accountability, and continuous improvement. I represent my program with character and professionalism and am committed to developing into a complete two-way player at the collegiate level.
I am seeking an opportunity to continue my baseball career at the next level, where I can contribute as a corner infielder and pitcher
Player Evaluation
Williams possesses an elite, prototypical frame for a two-way high school baseball player. At 6’7″ and ~240 pounds, his size immediately projects as a potential impact performer on both sides of the ball. His stature allows him to generate leverage in his swing and provides a large target on the mound.
Despite his size, Williams shows above-average athleticism, evidenced by his ability to play the field at first base and handle a heavy throwing workload on the mound. This combination of length, strength, and coordination is a plus for projection as a power hitter and as a pitcher with repeatable mechanics.
Left-handed hitter with quality power potential. Williams approaches at-bats with balance and intent, showing a mature eye for contact and situational hitting. His ability to drive the ball with authority makes him a threat to produce extra-base hits and run-producing at-bats consistently.
He posts a noteworthy bat exit speed of 99 mph, signaling high raw power and the ability to affect games with the bat. This metric places him well above average for his age group and suggests projection as a middle-of-order offensive contributor.
Williams shows dependable defensive instincts at first base. He has soft hands, good footwork around the bag, and sound fundamentals on throws, including cutoffs and rundowns. His size and agility make him a reliable corner infielder who can handle pressure throws and contribute as a steady defender.
His combination of length and athleticism allows Williams to cover ground effectively around the bag, giving confidence to infield positioning and handling tough plays with authority.
On the mound, Williams leverages his big frame and physical strength to provide a solid foundation for pitching. RSA lists his fastball velocity in the 82–86 mph range with a 75 mph slider and a 76 mph changeup — a promising arsenal for the high school level with room to develop.
He attacks hitters with confidence and poise. Williams shows the ability to work efficiently in the zone, mix his pitches, and keep hitters off balance with arm speed and movement. His competitiveness and willingness to take the ball in big moments are traits that college coaches value.
Described as coachable, disciplined, and prepared, Williams carries himself with professionalism and accountability — traits that translate well into high-level programs. His commitment to continuous improvement on the mound and at the plate makes him an intriguing two-way prospect.
Williams projects as a premium recruiting target with two-way potential. Offensively, his left-handed power and advanced bat metrics suggest he could be a middle-of-order bat at the next level. On the mound, further velocity gains and refinement of his secondary offerings would enhance his profile as a potential college starter or high-leverage arm. Defensively, first base suits his skill set now, and his size/ease of movement offers flexibility as he develops.
