About Me

My name is Heather Barbee, I’m a 5’6 libero/outside hitter. I have been playing volleyball since 5th grade! I am a junior in high school and have maintained a 3.95 GPA. I’m a 2025 graduate from West Valley High School My freshman and sophomore years I was a libero/ DS for West Valley High School. During that time I was a part of the team that placed 4th at state my freshman year. However, this year (junior year) I had to step outside of my comfort zone and play outside. While it was a big challenge I had the help of my head coach Jill! We made it all the way to 4a state where we placed 8th!

I enjoy visiting new cities with my club team and making new friends and memories along the way. As a junior, I am very focused on finding the perfect school to call home and further, my athletic and academic career after high school is over. I have enjoyed traveling to different places with my club team and seeing potential colleges! I am a hard, dedicated worker who wants to put the time into training to make me a better player.

Player Evaluation

I am really excited about Heather.  She is incredibly athletic and has really good skills in multiple positions.

Heather’s ball control is very good.  She has a solid platform and really good touch on the ball.  I can honestly say that when my club team played hers, we avoided serving her so we could get them out of system.  She moves well laterally and has light, fast feet to get to balls.  She also makes good floor moves on defense and can cover a good amount of the floor.

Now for the intangibles.  This is really what I love about her.  She has  natural leadership with confidence and control.  She makes good eye contact with her teammates and has great communication before, during, and after each play.  She high fives her teammates and celebrates their successes.  She is also very engaged with her coaches and wants to work hard, get better, and win.

Heather also was very mature when we spoke both in person and over the phone.  She was well spoken and very respectful and I loved her personality.  I am so impressed with this young lady on so many aspects.

I believe Heather has a ton of upside and will eventually make a great college Libero.  We are starting this process early so she has lots of time to research schools, programs, and be better prepared for when it’s time to commit to a school.  She will be able to make a very thoughtful decision based off of what she decides is the best route for success for herself and her future.

If you need more information on Heather, please let me know.  I am excited for her future volleyball career and for the program that will get to have her in it.
