About Me

Hi, I am Elle Webber from Huntsville, Alabama, and I am in my sophomore year of high school. When I started playing golf at the age of ten, I instantly fell in love with the game. I started playing in PGA Jr. League and quickly began playing tournaments soon after that. I have always loved how golf is challenging. Some days out on the course, it all comes together, and you play great. Other days you have to battle to do well; however, no matter how you play, you learn something new from each round you play. I love how golf can be a team sport, but at the same time, you are always responsible for yourself and for pushing yourself to get better each round. When I was in 7th and 8th grade, I played on my varsity high school team. The first year I helped lead my team to a state runner-up title. The following year, I helped my team win the state championship. Being part of that team helped me grow as a golfer and as a teammate.
I would love the opportunity to take the next step and play for a college team because it would allow me to continue to grow as a teammate and as a person. I want to be a part of a college team for many reasons. I like to travel to new places; see fantastic golf courses; and make new friends. I also feel like playing golf helps develop the tools you need to become successful in life.
I would be a good teammate because I put in 100% during tournaments, practice and workouts as well as in the classroom. I play with integrity and always try my best even when things are not going the way I would like on the course. I want to be part of a program that promotes teamwork and desires to win on and off the course.

Player Evaluation

Hello,  I am writing this letter of recommendation for Elle Webber one of my students at The Bocking Academy based out of The  Ledges in Huntsville Alabama.  As a 15 year PGA member and coaching the game of golf for over 20 years, I am grateful for all my peers, mentors and students.  Elle is one of those students that make my job fun.  She is extremely talented and a blast to coach!  Elle is continuing to develop her golf game and is going to be a valuable asset to a women’s golf program one day!  She hasn’t come close to reaching her potential and the ceiling is very high.  I’m very excited to see her game continue to grow over the next couple of years.  I’ve been fortunate enough to work with nearly 75 junior golfers that have gone on to play college golf at the highest level and it’s going to be fun to see Elle continue her golf career at that same level as well! A few things about Elle as a player is she has power,  a strong work ethic, and extremely coachable.  If you have any questions about Elle please feel free to email me at cbocking@theledges.com
