I am a Lefty and an athlete, Team first – always. I compete at everything including my core school sports, Varsity Basketball & Baseball. I have played organized football, Soccer, and Swimming as well. I love to volunteer with my Little League coach and his 12u teams. I am also involved in Full Count Ministries/Baseball and believe our spiritual walk is the most important thing we can do. School is also very important to me as I want to contribute in the classroom and not just on the field or in the gym. I love spending time with my family which includes 2 sisters, and my twin brother as well as our 2 dogs and cat! Travel, working out, cross-training are all a big part of my life. Baseball is my passion and I like to win. I believe I can play at any level and will help a collegiate team in many ways including win championships, excel in academics, and lead off the field in a positive manner.
Tyler Jones is a 2022 OF/LHP from Goodpasture Christian School in Goodlettsville, TN. Tyler also hits LH and is a high on base, high average hitter who is developing some pull side power. Tyler has a line drive to all fields approach. He is a very disciplined hitter who works the count to get the pitch he likes. He runs a 6.82 60 and plays faster on the base paths and in the field. His OF velo was recorded by PG at 84 mph on July 12, 2019. We will work on getting mire current metrics soon. On the mound, Tyler throws low 80’s with a low 70’s curve. Used more as an OF and as a hitter, Tyler does have the potential to possibly be a two-way guy for the right program. The tools are there, he just needs the reps on the hill.
Tyler is an excellent student and maintains a 4.0 GPA while taking a rigorous course load. He comes from a very supportive, athletic family. Mom and dad were both multi-sport athletes. Older sister is a highly recruited volleyball prospect. Twin brother Tanner is also a solid baseball prospect. We look forward to watching Tyler continue to develop and will keep you updated on his progress.
