I am a multi-sport athlete playing Varsity level in Basketball & Baseball. I have played Football, Soccer, and Swimming in addition to my core two sports – Baseball & Basketball. I have been able to compete at a high level and been fortunate to win at every level along the way. I like the grind, and strive for perfection, but most importantly I am a winner. Whatever it takes to win for the team. I love to travel, cross-train, and spend time with family and friends, as well as invest time with Full Count Ministries/Baseball. School is very important to me and I take academics very seriously along with leading my teams in the locker room, on the field, and in the classroom!
Tanner Jones is a 2022 LH Hitting OF/C from Goodpasture Christian School in Goodlettsville, TN. Tanner is 6′ 180 lbs and a multi-sport athlete. He’s given up football and swimming and is still playing baseball and basketball. Baseball is his passion and the sport that he is pursuing for college. Tanner uses his 6.88 speed to cover a lot of ground in the OF. He plays faster. He reads the ball off the bat well and takes good routes. He has an above average arm, 84 mph OF velo verified by PG 7/12/19. We will get updated numbers soon. Tanner is a very capable defensive 2B or 3B and even plays catcher when called upon. His future is probably in the OF however. Tanner’s bat is what will keep him in the lineup. Usually batting near the top of the order, Tanner hits for a high average using all fields. He has a line drive approach and rarely strikes out. Tanner is good at working the count and being patient to get the pitch he likes. When he does, he doesn’t miss often.
Tanner is an outstanding student with a 4.4 GPA. He takes Honors courses and is very driven to get the best education possible. He comes from a very supportive athletic family. Mom and dad were both multi-sport athletes. His older sister is a highly recruited volleyball player. His twin brother Tyler is also an excellent baseball prospect. We look forward to keeping you updated about Tanner as we are able to gather more info and as he progresses.
