About Me
My name is Riley Cruce and I am a 2022 LHP/CF from Loganville High School and East Cobb Astros. I am 6′ and am throwing 83-87 mph this season. I also throw a curve and change up. I play CF when I’m not pitching. I have run a 6.88 60. I have dreamed of playing college baseball since I can remember. I love to have the ball in my hand when the game is on the line. I work just as hard at academics as I do my game. I have a 4.0 GPA.
Player Evaluation
Riley Cruce is a 2022 LHP/OF from Loganville High School and the East Cobb Astros. Riley is 6′ 185 lbs and touches 89 (May 17, 2021) with his fastball. He sits 84-87. He throws a breaking ball in the 73-75 range, and a change up in the 77-79 range. Riley can locate all 3 pitches and does a great job changing speeds. I watched Riley pitch March 26 and he threw his fastball anywhere from 81-87 and got a lot of swing and misses with his change up. In an age when everyone tries to throw as hard as they can, Riley pitches. He reminded me of watching Tom Glavine. I have no doubts that Riley will be very successful at the next level. He is a competitor who doesn’t care who’s in the batters box. He goes right after them. Playing for a top Georgia high school team and top travel team, he faces the best. Riley is an outstanding student with a 4.0 GPA.
