I have had a LOVE for football my entire life.

Growing up in a family of college football players, I have been attending football games and playing football in the back yard my entire life.

My dad played on the offensive line at Clemson University, my maternal uncle played on the defensive line at Clemson University, and my maternal grandfather played on the offensive line at the University of Tennessee at Martin where he was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

To me football is one of the best ways to learn so many life lessons.  My family members have told me that participating in college football was so important in shaping them into the men they became as husbands, fathers, friends, and businessmen.  I have learned from them that football is key to developing strong leadership skills and learning to be a “team member”. I enjoy being part of a team sport where everyone works together for a common goal.  Every player on the team brings value to attaining the goals that have been set, and I love to be an encourager to my teammates, especially when they may be going through tough times.

Football has taught me the importance of balancing my time with academics, family, and my church activities.  My Christian faith is important to me, and I strive to live a life that lets others see my faith lived out on a daily basis.  I am a youth volunteer at NewSpring Church in Anderson, South Carolina.

My goal is to obtain a college degree while at the same time making whatever contributions I can to my team.  I do not mind sacrificing my personal time to work on the goals I have set to achieve because I know that hard work pays off and is very rewarding.
