About Me

My name is Caroline Dasch. I go to Anderson High School in Austin, Texas and am in the Class of 2023. I started playing golf when I was seven years old after my dad bought me my first set of golf clubs. I love golf because it’s so fun to bomb the ball down the fairway and sink long putts. However, it is such a social sport, too, and I love all the friends I have made throughout the years playing the game. A huge highlight for me was winning state with my high school team last year. Not only was it an incredible accomplishment (coming from back from being 8 shots behind on the back nine of the second day), but it also meant so much to me to share that experience with my friends. I also love being a student. I am finishing out the IB Diploma Program at Anderson, which has really helped me develop my research and writing skills. My favorite classes this year are BC Calculus and Physics, and I have enjoyed IB Psychology for the past two years as well.

Player Evaluation

I have had the pleasure of getting to know Caroline and have come alongside her and her family to support her college golf search. She has also asked me to provide feedback on her play and performance, in collaboration with her long time swing instructor, Brech Spradley. In a short period of time she has been open to being coached, as I did my college athletes, and has put strategies in place to create more structure around her daily and weekly schedule as well as practicing her physical and mental game more strategically. We began working with one another in September 2021 and within one month she had matched her personal best (67) in competition. Our goal is to help her get to under par numbers more consistently and to continue to lower her average score. This will come from training with competitive pressure as well as building consistency across all areas of her game. As she continues to work with Brech Spradley on her technique we have developed training for her short game and refined her physical and mental routines during practice and on course during play and competition. There is no doubt she will be ready to contribute to a college team once she arrives on campus.

Alongside practice five to six days per week and an all year tournament schedule, Caroline is challenging herself by taking IB curriculum at Anderson High School in Austin, Texas. She is already exhibiting traits of what it takes to be a top student-athlete by committing to rigorous academics, significant golf scheduling and events as well as making a difference in her community. As I have gotten to know her more I see her heart for others and her commitment to bettering the community around her.

Caroline is motivated to be her best as a student, golfer and person and is committed to excellence in all areas. She is a great teammate who will push her peers to be better and she will lead with her commitment to excelling in her academics and golf. Caroline is pleasant and a good friend but be assured she is also a committed competitor who has the drive and the love for the game which will help her persevere through challenges. I am happy to speak to coaches about the contribution she will make to their team.
